Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Q Service may collect, why we use it, how it may be shared and the choices available to customers, guests and service providers.

ImportantBy using Q Service, you acknowledge the data practices described here. Some features may not work if required information or permissions are not provided.
1

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors, guest users, registered customers, service providers and other people who use Q Service websites, applications, booking channels, communications or support services.

2

Information we may collect

  • Account details such as name, phone number, email, profile photo and preferred language.
  • Booking information such as service category, requirements, address, district, area, preferred time, notes and booking status.
  • Provider information such as professional profile, skills, service categories, working areas, verification details, ratings, work history and account activity.
  • Location information when you permit location access or provide an address manually.
  • Messages, support requests, call or WhatsApp action records and other communications made through or about the platform.
  • Device and technical data such as IP address, browser or app version, device identifiers, notification token, login activity, cookies and diagnostic logs.
  • Transaction or payment-related references where payment features are used. We do not intentionally request your complete card PIN, mobile banking PIN or OTP.
  • Feedback, reviews, complaints, images and documents voluntarily provided by users.
3

How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts, authenticate users and remember preferences.
  • Process bookings, match or assign providers, confirm details and track service progress.
  • Show relevant services, jobs and providers based on category and location.
  • Enable messaging, notifications, call support and customer-provider communication.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, spam and unsafe activity.
  • Provide customer support, resolve complaints and enforce platform rules.
  • Measure performance, diagnose errors and improve product design and service quality.
  • Send important transactional updates and, where allowed, promotional communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4

Location information

Q Service may use approximate or precise location to identify your district or nearby area, show relevant service providers, display nearby job opportunities and improve booking accuracy.

You can deny device location permission and provide location details manually where available. Disabling location may reduce the accuracy of nearby results.

5

Messages and communications

Messages sent through Q Service may be stored so participants can view conversation history, receive notifications, report abuse and obtain support.

We may review limited communication records when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance.

6

How information may be shared

  • With customers and providers as necessary to fulfill a booking, including identity, contact, location, requirements and service status.
  • With infrastructure, hosting, notification, analytics, communication, payment and security vendors that process data on our behalf.
  • With authorities or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or needed to investigate fraud or abuse.
  • During a business reorganization, financing, merger or transfer, subject to appropriate protection.
  • With consent or at the user’s direction.
7

Public provider profiles and search engines

Eligible service-provider profiles may be publicly accessible and may appear in search engines when the provider account is active, verified, sufficiently complete and search visibility is enabled. Public SEO metadata is limited to professional information such as provider name, service category, service area, profile image and service track record; private verification data is not added to search metadata.

Providers can turn off search-engine visibility from their profile settings. This does not disable the Q-Service account or prevent customers from using normal in-platform provider discovery.

When a verified provider account-deletion request is completed, Q Service retires the public provider profile from indexing and serves the former public profile URL as unavailable. Historical service, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary.

8

Google, Firebase and analytics

Q Service may use services such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Ads conversion measurement, maps, messaging and related technologies. These services may receive device, event, advertising or diagnostic data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Analytics events may include app opens, searches, service views, bookings, booking success, messages and other product interactions.

9

Cookies and local storage

The website and app may use cookies, local storage, secure storage or similar technologies for sessions, language, login, security, notification settings, performance and analytics.

You may manage browser storage or device permissions, but doing so can sign you out or disable some features.

10

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, accounting or security obligations.

Retention periods vary by data type. Information may be deleted, anonymized or archived when no longer required, unless preservation is legally necessary.

11

Security

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards such as access controls, authentication, encrypted transport where available, rate limits, monitoring and backups.

No internet service is completely secure. Users should protect their devices, passwords and OTP codes and report suspicious activity promptly.

12

Your choices and rights

  • Review and update available profile and location information.
  • Control location, camera, notification and other device permissions.
  • Request correction or deletion of eligible personal information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt out of non-essential promotional communication.
  • Ask questions or submit a privacy complaint.
13

Children’s privacy

Q Service is not designed for unsupervised use by children who cannot legally enter into service arrangements. A parent or guardian should make bookings for minors where necessary.

14

International and third-party processing

Some technology providers may process information on servers outside Bangladesh. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards, but their processing is also governed by their own policies.

15

Policy changes

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal or operational changes. The revised date will be shown on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website or other appropriate channel.
